Wife dead, husband stabbed and toddlers in protective custody.
Throughout the night, detectives continued investigating the fatal shooting which killed one female in the 9900 block of 12th Ave W. It has been established that the male and female are husband and wife who lived together in the apartment with their two children. The husband, who was transported to a local hospital last night, was treated for his injuries and released. Detectives are interviewing the husband about the incident.
The children remain in temporary protective custody though Child Protective Services. Neither was injured.
Detectives believe the incident occurred between the husband and wife and no one else was involved. The stabbing and shooting are still under investigation and no one has been arrested.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the identity of the wife. At this point, the ages and identities of the husband and children will not be released. The children are described as toddlers.
